Hardware keyboard shortcuts

On a hardware keyboard, dotMux speaks the shortcuts you’d expect — hold ⌘ to see the full HUD:

  • ⌘T new window · ⌘W close window · ⇧⌘] / ⇧⌘[ next / previous window · ⌘1–9 jump to a window.
  • ⌘D / ⇧⌘D split · ⇧⌘W close pane · ⌃⌘-arrows resize · ⌘C copy the selection · ⌘V paste text or an image.

Esc, Ctrl, Tab, and the arrows come through directly, so the on-screen helper bar steps aside; turn on Show Bar with External Keyboard (Settings → Keyboard) to keep it. With a trackpad, right-click a pane for its menu — more in iPad and desk setups.
